Amy Gibbs is an Artist, Graphics & Textile Designer + full time life enjoyer residing on the picturesque seaside town of Point Lonsdale, Victoria.
Amy graduated from a Bachelor of Creative Arts majoring in Visual Communication Design at Deakin University in 2017. It was during her degree that her love for all things art and design continued to grow, cementing her drive for a future career in the creative industry. As of February 2022, Amy took the plunge to resign from admin role and work for herself full-time as an Artist and Freelance Designer. She is extremely excited and eager for this next chapter in her life and creative career. Her previous workplaces include global retailers Cotton On Body and Rubi, where she worked as a Textile and Graphics Designer for almost 5 years. She has also previously worked within the marketing and branding sector for leading Geelong design company Paul Kelly Creative. In May 2020, Amy's artwork "Native Rainbow" was selected from over 1000 entries to be a winner of the Kip&Co Art Series 2020. This piece was produced into a tea towel and sold through Kip&Co in May 2021. She was also featured on the cover of Geelong Advertiser's GT Magazine in September 2020, accompanied by a double page spread showcasing her artist story and the message behind her inspiration. Amy's first solo exhibition "Life Is Colour-Full" launched in March 2022 through online powerhouse Jumbled and was a complete sell out! On weekends and in her spare time, Amy enjoys; long walks on the beach with her husband Jake and their two dogs Alfie (Jack Russell) and Bowie (Golden Retriever), running, socialising with her friends over cheese platters and G&T's, online shopping, mothering her 26 indoor house plants, painting and listening to true crime or celebrity and pop culture podcasts. |
